Hi Mom -
So I'm going back to NYC tomorrow and I couldn't be looking forward to it less. I know I need to get back to life and back into the swing of things, but I've rather enjoyed the last week of nothingness with Meridith where my biggest concern was what episode of Sons of Anarchy we were on.
I made Chicken Divan tonight for the first time. It was a rather surreal moment for many reasons. We can start with how I actually had no idea what the recipe was and needed help from quite a few different people. Sara came through though with the recipe card from her bridal shower gift. Besides that, it was just rather surreal to be making the meal in your kitchen, without you anywhere in sight or sound. The sauce looked to be a bit liquidy before I put it all together and put Carly swears it tasted right. Its all cooling right now on the stove, to be tasted in a bit.
At the moment I'm rather tired and that's it. Just tired. What I wouldn't give for a good nights sleep.
